Campus Hazing Transparency Report

The federal Stop Campus Hazing Act requires universities to publish a Campus Hazing Transparency Report that summarizes findings concerning any established or recognized student organization found to be in violation of an institution's policy related to hazing. 

Details about reported incidents and the final findings and sanctions must be included. The report is updated at least twice per year. The information will maintained for a period of at least five calendar years from the date of publication.

This report and separate and distinct from the Annual Security Report, which is published by October 1st of each year. 

Zero (0) findings for the period of July 1, 2025 through November 30, 2025.

One (1) finding for the period of December 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026. 

Organization: Women's Water Polo

  • Description of Conduct: "Rookie Night" where first-year members required to complete scavenger-hunt-type event; sophomore members detained in basement, blindfolded and hands bound.

  • Findings: Individual members found responsible for violation of the Student Code of Conduct, Section 10. Hazing (see Policy Prohibiting Hazing). Additional Student Code of Conduct violations: Section 6. Physical Abuse or Threatens Harm and Section 18. Alcohol. 
  • Sanctions Include:
    • Disciplinary probation 
    • Deferred suspension
    • Reflection/Essay (including evaluating the harm and impact on others and researching alternative team-building activities)
    • Hazing prevention training 
    • Loss of privileges (prohibited from attending Class of 2026 Awards and Senior Toast, Commencement Liturgy, Grad Bash, and Undergraduate Commencement)
    • Wellness coaching (related to violation of Section 18. Alcohol Policy)
    • Fine (related to violation of Section 18. Alcohol Policy)
